Lehár: Der Rastelbinder / Graf, Muliar, Hobarth, et al

Album Summary

>Lehár, Franz : Der Rastelbinder
Performers Conductor Ensemble Composer

Notes & Reviews:

Lehar's first opera, 'Der Rastelbinder', was an immediate success and founded the fame of the operetta's young rising star. Here, all the essential ingredients of a geniune Lahar operetta came together: a Slavic milieu, farewell melancholy, and the Viennese waltz. Lehar drew on all his creative powers and demonstrated just how very much he had learned from Fibich and Dvorak in Prague.
