Notes & Reviews:

Michal Kanka fully captures the post-baroque viruoso style of the first and the pre-romantic overtones of the second. As an interlude, the Prague Chamber Orchestra plays Haydn's 33rd symphony, subtitled 'the Philosopher'. The work displays the customary ingenuity and wit nearly always present in Haydn's mature style.
