Notes & Reviews:

This recording features a suite from the famous film, 'The Red Violin', starring Samuel L. Jackson. The film is about a violin, mysteriously haunted by the wife soul of its maker, and documents the instrument's journey through several centuries, from 17th century Cremona to ending in 20th century Montreal. John Corigliano' haunting and lyrical music received the 1999 Academy Award for 'Best Original Score'.
