Adam Fischer is famous for his recording of the complete Haydn Symphonies with this group, the Haydn Philharmonic. He has conducted in concert halls and opera houses around the globe including the New York Metropolitan Opera as well as the San Francisco Opera and the Chicago Lyric Opera. Haydn's Symphony No. 94 is nicknamed 'the Surprise' for its loud timpani blast in the slow movement.
