Notes & Reviews:

The Josquin Capella was founded in 1994 and consists of members from the Netherlands, Germany and England. They specialize in music from the high Renaissance of the late 14th and 15th centuries. The Lamentations of Jeremiah were read in church during Holy Week evening prayers from Holy Thursday to Holy Saturday. Johannes Ockeghem was all inspired by the shadow of death for his Requiem putting his expressive melodies in the lower voices.
