Notes & Reviews:

The 'Piano Variations' was Copland's first major work for piano, and was lauded by Bernstein as one of his favorite piano works. Among Copland's most personal and intimate works is his 'Piano Sonata', and the 'Piano Fantasy' is described by Copland as "a spontaneous and unpremeditated sequence of 'events' that would carry the listener irresistibly from first note to last". Benjamin Pasternack performs these great works with every appropriate nuance.
