Notes & Reviews:

Earl Kim was a master craftsman and an unabashed romantic, borrowing from both Western and Eastern tradition to bring new life to music. The 'Violin Concerto' was composed for Itzhak Perlman in 1979. Kim's evocative setting of Rilke's great poem of love and war, 'Cornet', is an intense drama based on the gorror and waste of war.
