Notes & Reviews:
Stravinsky was a composer who would write out whatever piece of music he was inspired to compose no matter what the forces required or how much time it took. His Fanfare lasts only seconds while 'King of the Stars' calls for massive forces of full orchestra, choir and soloists and lasts a but over 15 minutes. The Ensemble Avantgarde has gathered together many of Stravinsky's miniatures as well as music dedicated or inspired by Stravinsky together for this CD.
