Album Summary

>Boito, Arrigo : Nerone
Performers Conductor Ensemble Composer

Notes & Reviews:

Most famous for writing the librettos for Verdi's final two masterpieces, 'Otello' and 'Falstaff', Arrigo Boito wrote two operas on his own: 'Mefistofele', which today is popular worldwide; and 'Nerone', which was never finished. Completed by Arturo Toscanini from sketches, it has been revived and this is the first-ever budget recording of this fascinating and powerful opera based on the life of the Emperor Nero.
