Notes & Reviews:

Balada has been known primarily as a choral composer for more than 3 decades. The symphonic tragedy 'No-res (Nothing)' was composed in 1974 in memory of Balada's mother, set to texts in several languages (some invented) by the poet Jean Paris. 'Ebony Fantasies' is a beautiful and creative rendering of four negro spirituals.
