- Robert Winstin (Piano)
Notes & Reviews:
Even purveyors of modern music have a soft side. Robert Ian Winstin, the driving force behind Erm Media, first met his wife Susan just before a concert he was about to appear in where, according to the notes, she almost ran over him with a grand piano. As Robert and Susan were finally courting, he wrote "little love notes" from a host of cities around the world, and finally proposed after the sixteenth sonnet. Winstin's friends insisted he sit down in one place and record the whole series to music and here they are. However, these are not mushy new-age pieces. If anything, they bear a certain resemblance to works of Copland, Bernstein, and Barber.
