Notes & Reviews:

Zoltan Kodaly was second in esteem only to Bela Bartok among modern Hugarian composers; his colorful orchestral works are perhaps more accessible than Bartok's, especially the delightfully tuneful suite from his brilliant comic opera 'Hary Janos', the story of an outrageous braggart. Previously available, this superb recording of 20th-century Hungarian masterworks is now repackaged and offered at mid-price.
