Notes & Reviews:

"The music is delightful if not terribly original. It sounds like JC Bach with bits of Handel thrown in. I find it interesting that the hero, Meleagro, is a high, light soprano, and Asteria, the youngest girl, is a contralto. That makes for some unusual balances in the brief final quartet. The singers are uniformly excellent and do not make the mistake of putting grand operatic passion into this modest work-and vibratos are held in check. Elaine Comparone plays the harpsichord continuo with style I was actually paying attention to her work. So many keyboard players in pieces of this type are bland. A booklet with libretto is included." Mark, American Record Guide
