Notes & Reviews:
The eight Piano Concertos of Beethovens friend and pupil Ferdinand Ries stand beside those of Hummel as the most important works of their kind from the early 19th century. These are world premiere recordings of two of his greatest works. One was written as Ries completed his studies with Beethoven, and the other some twenty years later.
