Notes & Reviews:

These were three of the composers we associate closely with the great Bruno Walter and, by now, we have seen his LPs from the mono and stereo eras covering this repertoire reissued faithfully. For this transfer, US Columbia 78's were used for the Mozart and Haydn; after consideration of US and British sources, Japanese pressings of the Brahms, found at the Kanazawa Phonograph Museum, were felt to be superior. Opus Kura's diligent work pays off wonderfully, as usual!
