Notes & Reviews:

Vivaldi composed nearly 500 concertos, many for his own instrument, the violin, but others for a variety of solo instruments and groups of instruments. Seven of the chamber concertos with basso continuo are featured on this recording. Contrasting the sound of the recorder with various other instruments, these concertos have a typical freshness of melody and rhythmic verve that make Vivaldi's instrumental works such perennial favorites.
