Album Summary
Performer
John Browning (Piano)
Notes & Reviews:
We now come to the last in the wonderful series devoted to rare live performances by the great American pianist, John Browning. Though trained in the Russian school of keyboard performance, Browning was scrupulously respectful in his approach to the music of the Baroque and Classical periods. His Bach was crisply articulated, with almost total absence of the sustaining pedal. His huge technique enabled him to execute quick turns and ornamental figures with eyebrow-lifting sparkle.
