This CD opens a new collection of the complete piano works of Bedrich Smetana (18241884). Outstanding Czech pianist Jitka Cechova will present the rich palette of Smetanas piano works in a series of 7 CDs to be released from 2005 to 2008. Jitka Cechova, part of the new generation of Czech musicians, has devoted herself extensively to the interpretation of Smetana. Her recordings present a fresh look at the works of a foundational personality of Czech national music.
