Notes & Reviews:

French-born Denis Bosse (b1960) abandoned a career in science to pursue composition, studying in Darmstadt and finally settling in Brussels, where he continued his studies with Frederic Rzewski. Even though he declares a close artistic affiliation with Luigi Nono and Helmut Lachenmann, he has no hesitation in mixing different aesthetics in one and the same work, and it is quite clearly this that gives his musical language a unique feel.
