Ensemble Composers

Notes & Reviews:

The Capet interpretations of Classical works have immense force, despite the use of gut strings, because the attack on each chord is so precise and perfectly weighted. Their performance of Schumann is wonderfully coherent and when it comes to Debussy and Ravel (two composers the performers knew personally) their readings are extremely revealing, pointing out the differences between these two Quartets which are often linked.
