Notes & Reviews:

A victim of both the Nazis and French anti-Semitism, where he had fled from Germany, Tokayer served in the French foreign legion to prove his loyalty. Subsequently he returned to Paris with a false identity - was arrested and put in a detention camp where he miraculously was reunited with his parents. All three were sent to Sobibor and none survived.
