American Record Guide, March / April 2013
What initially strikes one on listening to this recording is the penetratingly deep bass achieved by the engineer. A recording that lends a profound seriousness and depth to the performance. The Andante is beautifully phrased and executed with loving attention to detail. The Moscheles 15-minute sonata is a real discovery. The single movement sonata is immensely entertaining, shows some harmonic audacity, and is well worth resurrecting. Bravo to all concerned for this release.
