Notes & Reviews:
Adolf Pla is one of the performers who have helped disseminate the Catalan composer Frederic Mompou's music, presenting it in more than 20 countries on three continents.
American Record Guide, July/August 2013
He understood the piano's capabilities intimately; he lived through the explosion of modernism in the 20th Century. Adolf Pla performs here the 12 preludes, the Chopin Variations, a selection of the Landscapes, a Canco de Bressol, and the Souvenirs de l'Exposition. Mr Sullivan praised Pla's playing in May/June 2004, and I'm in complete agreement: he has gorgeous tone and a perfectly expressive rubato. Sound is exquisite.
