Notes & Reviews:

"The piece de resistance here is the Delius Concerto. Nowadays, Curzon is primarily associated with the core repertoire - Mozart, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms - though his musical interests were much broader in scope. One can hear how he adores this oddball of a concerto, with its juxtaposition of grand gestures and pointillistic detail. Unlike Moiseiwitsch, who took an intimate, almost dainty view of the score in his classic 1946 recording (Naxos, 5/03), Curzon's reading is bold, brawny and deeply felt there's a fervour in Curzon's playing that provides a far more moving experience." -Gramophone
