Notes & Reviews:
Siegbert Rampe and MDG are endeavoring to record every note that Mozart wrote for the keyboard. Mozart composed K. 309 on his journey to Paris as an audition piece to try to get a job anywhere outside of Salzburg, and K. 311 was written for two daughters of the Privy Councilor of Munich. These are performances on period instruments that exhibit Mozart's genius in all its clarity without the bombast of today's modern concert grand pianos. Detailed liner notes explain the history and innovations of each piece.
