Notes & Reviews:

You might recognize the vocalist's name, for she is the sister of the famed baritone Heinz Rehfuss. Most of the music on this disc features music by the late Swiss composer Jean Daetwyler, one of the few composers to have written an Alphorn Concerto and a work some collectors may fondly remember from the days of the LP, the Ski Symphony. These colorful works, with their exotic instrumental touches (with the memorable use of solo trumpet and percussion in Erotikon), suggest Ravel, Stravinsky and Milhaud.
