Notes & Reviews:

Returning to the music of J.S. Bach, keyboard virtuoso Richard Egarr offers the complete, unabridged Goldberg Variations. He performs the work using a harpsichord modeled after a Ruckers, re-voiced in quill and using a newly discovered tuning system. Bach's fourteen rarely heard Goldberg Canons round out the program.

Gramophone Magazine
A grandiose performance - all repeats observed; not bombastic or posturing but eager (in Egarr's words) 'to let this music sing and to keep the music free from rigidity and haste'. Most impressive is the way Egarr conveys the sensation of an edifice being re-created through the building blocks of interconnecting tissue.
