Notes & Reviews:

For their newest EMI Classics release, The Choir of King's College, Cambridge has collaborated with the Academy of Ancient Music on a richly evocative album of works composed for Queen Mary II by Henry Purcell (1659-1695). One of England's greatest composers, Purcell only lived into his mid-thirties, but during his short lifetime, he worked for three different kings and held the position of organist at Westminster Abbey.

Gramophone Magazine
The AAM's honest and direct playing is pleasantly matched with neatly executed solos.

BBC Music Magazine
In the repertoire on this new disc... Cleobury, King's College, and the AAM prove currently unbeatable. King's College Chapel provides a glorious acoustic, splendidly recorded, bathing the music in resonance but retaining every detail.
