Notes & Reviews:

This new recording by the Utah Symphony Orchestra includes a world-premiere recording of a colorful, rhythmically catchy piece by composer Gabriella Lena Frank. Frank (b. 1972) is of Peruvian and Jewish heritage, and incorporates elements of both in her compositions, as in her prize-winning 'An American in Peru.' Keith Lockhart is one of America's best-known young conductors, especially for his performances and recordings as Music Director of the Boston Pops.
