Notes & Reviews:

Alpha Productions puts the focus on a musician rather little known today, Moravian composer Franz Xaver Richter (1709-1789). His Op. 5 Quartets, first published in 1768, are among the earliest written for the "classical" string quartet. The first three of these quartets are coupled with rare late works for quartet by W.A. Mozart, with the ensemble Ricontro playing on period instruments.
