Notes & Reviews:

Bernard Cavanna was born in 1951 in Nogent-sur-Marne. At the age of nine, he began studying piano and, as mostly an autodidact, composition, which would be influenced by later encounters with Henri Dutilleux, Aurel Stroe, Paul Mefano and George Aperghis, who greatly encouraged his creativity. The present disc contains the world premiere recordings of two of his most ambitious works, the Violin Concerto and song cycle 'Trois chants cruels.'

Note: This title is rare and is considered a collector’s item. It is priced according to its common market value. If the record label that it is on goes on sale, it will also be reduced in price.
