Photographer and videographer Brooks de Wetter-Smith worked with composer Allen Anderson on Iceblink, a meditation on Antarctica. The clarity, color, isolation, stasis, and motion shown in the photos are beautiful. A soprano voice sings in 'Albatross' and 'Shackleton's Job' to add textual interest. Visually it concentrates on droves of penguins and their activities. The fluttering, continually ascending music accompanies their shifting gait, habits, and voluminous numbers.
This breathtaking DVD and aural meditation on Antarctica, with original score, was produced by photographer/videographer Brooks de Wetter-Smith.
