Notes & Reviews:
It was much to the surprise of both orchestra and producer (where multi-microphones are commonplace and offer 'security' in post-production) that we at Claudio used our simple two microphone recording technique for this important production. Arranging conductor, soloist and the London Symphony in the round was also controversial but once they settled closely in position side by side they were delighted. The results of this technique can be clearly heard with this HD stereo recording. Building a reputation as one of the finest Chopin interpreters of his generation, pianist Adolfo Barabino is recording the complete Chopin's works with Claudio Records. Conductor Lee Reynolds is in demand as a conductor with first rate symphony orchestras, including the LSO, and opera companies including Glyndebourne. Mr. Reynolds formed the Kantanti Ensemble in 2009 to create a reach-out-and-touch approach to professional classical performance.
