Notes & Reviews:

Only a minor and short singing career can be properly represented on two CDs, whereas Else Paaske's career is both significant and extensive. This volume contains an overwhelming collection of star performances from the period 1967-1983, the central years in her career which began in 1955 with her first public performance at age 14 at a Christmas concert in Jutland and still continues today. Else Paaske's name may not be familiar to the casual vocal listener but she has developed a fervent following in Europe, and this comprehensive set definitely allows new listeners the pleasure of hearing this fine singer.
