Notes & Reviews:

More than ten years ago, two international competitions were held which included an American organ builder, an Italian designer, five million Swiss Francs (about four million U.S. dollars), 150,000 man hours, as well as remarkable political and financial support. These are some of the elements which contributed to the realization of a unique artistic project; the construction of a new organ worthy of the Lausanne Cathedral. The Gall label is no stranger to the organ literature, and the honor has fallen to them to present this inaugural CD, featuring repertoire which is both "classic" and unusual.
