The singing of both Peter Pears in the 'Benedictus' and Kathleen Ferrier in the 'Agnus Dei' is truly exceptional. The story of Kathleen Ferrier- her meteoric rise to fame and tragic early death- is now the stuff of legend, and every release of her voice on CD is a treasure to cherish. This set is of special importance to all her fans and for everyone who values great singing and conducting.
