From seventeenth-century England to twentieth-century Canada, this recording includes a number of favorites, including 'Hear My Prayer,' Mendelssohn's best known contribution to church music. Also included are Cesar Franck's exquisite 'Panis angelicus' and the choral arrangement of Elgar's 'Nimrod' variation, here transformed into a solemn memorial tribute.
