First prize-winner of the prestigious 1994 Hannover International Violin Competition, Robert Chen has been praised by the 'Los Angeles Times' as a musician of "uncommon insight and feeling." Since appearing at age twelve with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Mr. Chen has performed at major concert venues throughout the world. Note that the conductor on this recording is Pavel Kogan, himself a renowned violinist, and the son of the famed Leonid Kogan.
