Notes & Reviews:
One of the keyboard giants of our time, Mieczyslaw Horszowski (1892-1993), was a world famous figure from the age of five, when he amazed European critics with his performance from memory of the Inventions of J.S. Bach. He made his New York debut in Carnegie Hall at the age of fourteen, by which time he was already a veteran of the concert hall. Here Horszowksi performs in its entirety Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, Book 1. Included in this specially priced 2 CD set are the full liner notes by Dr. Joseph Braunstein form the original LP set, with detailed scholarly descriptions of the Well-Tempered Clavier.
