Notes & Reviews:

Schumann's 1829 Piano Quartet, composed at the age of 19, was deemed unplayable for decades, however going back to original sources and scores musicologist Joachim Draheim has managed to put together a playable edition for the Trio Parnassus. Since Schumann played the piano part himself he left out large sections of the left hand part, he called this his "botched quartet" and at one time tried to rework the material into a symphony.
