Notes & Reviews:

Silvius Leopold Weiss wrote some 650 works for the solo lute. Had Weiss not composed primarily for an instrument that has since fallen into great neglect, he most likely would be celebrated as an equal of Bach and Handel. Yasunori Imamura has contributed to more than 100 recordings, and now sets out to fulfill his dream of recording the works by Weiss, a composer admired and esteemed by J.S. Bach himself.
