Notes & Reviews:
One of the most important and well-documented series of liturgical music on CD comes to a close with this volume of the Complete English Hymnal. When this series started some years ago, the booklet annotator noted that there were many who believed that congregational hymn-singing "was in terminal decline, a moribund reminder of an earlier age." Obviously this is not the case, as this series (including previous volumes 1-22, PRCD701-722) is among the most popular on this label.
