How gratifying is it that when there are cutbacks in funding for the arts and seemingly little interest in "serious" music among young people, we can celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of this remarkable youth orchestra, famed not only in Wales but throughout the world? Avid fans of music from Great Britain have enjoyed their performances in live concert and on many recordings for years, giving performances that rival many professional orchestras. All pieces on this recording are played to the hilt by this remarkable orchestra.
