Notes & Reviews:

The Spanish conductor Ataulfo Argenta had a short-lived but important career. His sudden death in 1957 was regarded as a national tragedy in Spain and his passing robbed the world of a conductor whose talents would no doubt have established him as one of the great maestri of his generation. This set includes all of Argenta's Decca recordings.
