Mozart: Così fan tutte, etc; Brahms / Gibson, Pritchard

Notes & Reviews:

One of the most highly acclaimed productions by Scottish Opera in the 1960s was its English-language 'Cosi fan tutte.' Dame Janet Baker sang Dorabella in 1967 and repeated her interpretation in a revival two years later, during which the recording on these CDs was made. "It was terrifically exciting to be part of the company in those early days," she said. "There was tremendous enthusiasm, and the quality of what was done there set an extraordinary standard of performance outside London."
