Notes & Reviews:

Daniel Jones (1912 -1993) was an outstanding composer from Wales. He was also a friend of the poet Dylan Thomas from childhood, and wrote a well-known book about him. "There is much to admire here the dark, urgent drama of the Sixth Symphony, the lift-off that Jones's brusquely springy rhythms can attain, above all a sort of hard-won sustained intensity of utterance the performances are excellent throughout." - Gramophone
