Notes & Reviews:

Paul Hindemith (1895-1963) was one of Germany's greatest twentieth-century composers. This recording of his chamber music for cello includes both early and late works for comparison. Cellist Emil Klein was born in Romania in 1955 and achieved an international reputation on his concert tours of Europe, the US, and Africa. Alongside his solo career he spends time playing chamber music, and in 1990 founded the chamber orchestra "Hamburg Soloists." Wolfgang Manz (born 1960) has proved to be one of Germany's most distinguished and successful pianists of the young generation, having won prestigious prizes in the world's most important piano competitions. Since the beginning of his career, he has played with at least seventy orchestras in Western Europe and performed in more than 400 concerts.
