Album Summary
Performer
Esteban Elizondo-Iriarte (Organ)
Notes & Reviews:
The program recorded here offers an interesting cross section of late-Romantic music from the Basque country of Spain. Born in 1945, organist Esteban Elizondo initially studied with Tomas Garbizu in Spain and then with Anton Heiller in Vienna. Elizondo has performed throughout Europe, the United States and Japan. A major part of this activity is devoted to the promotion of Romantic organ music from the Basque country throughout the world, with particular emphasis on the organ works of Jesus Guridi.
