Notes & Reviews:

Igor Stravinsky had intended his Symphony of Psalms to be sung by a boys' choir - and the crystal clear voices of the boys of the Windsbacher Knabenchor make this an auditory experience of the first order.

Devoted exclusively to works by Stravinsky, this CD contains both symphonic choral works and a cappella music by the great Russian composer. For the Symphonie de Psaumes, the Windsbach Boys Choir is joined by the renowned Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. Stravinsky intended this work to be sung by a boy's choir and the crystal clear voices of the boys of the Windsbach make this an auditory experience of the first order. In the "Cantata", the Deutschen Kammer-Virtuosen Berlin in their chamber-music setting harmonizes perfectly with the precision-led voices of the singers.
