Notes & Reviews:

"These recordings were made at the biennial Magdeburg Telemann Festival Days: the first three in 2006, the last one in 1997 (hence the two different solo quartets). All participants are excellent, and Max's fine period-style players bring out the instrumental colors that Telemann exploits. There are some exuberant choral and ensemble sections and a gamut of expressive solo numbers. I greatly enjoyed this fine program, and I think you will, too." -American Record Guide

BBC Music Magazine
The operatic quality of Telemann's cantatas is clear to the conductor, but not to all the performers. Intonation in the lower strings slackens and some solo vocalists, particularly in the fourth cantata, are technically unstable.
